Interestingly, in light of my post earlier today, I see Obama's lead in the latest Gallup tracking poll is down to one point.
And, to repeat, if you really can't wrap your mind around the fact that a mere one point lead for Obama, given all the structural advantages he has (and coming off his European tour), actually is good news for McCain, than you really must be deluded. I certainly am not saying McCain will win, nor am I one to obsess over daily poll numbers, but such a small lead at this point really is worth noting, and those of us who care about politics are not insane for wondering about what this might mean about the dynamics of the race.
"than you really must be deluded."
Your candidate is losing; you've cherry-picked the poll most favorable to him, and he's still losing. Winning is preferable to losing, and there's no prize for second place.

I second the first comment... Read the linked article below, which illustrates how all credible examinations of how the ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTE will most likely turn out (which is what actually determines the next President), show Obama clearly in the lead: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-nickolas/despite-media-narrative-o_b_116906.html

Looks like that link didn't fit in my last comment so here's a quick look at what I was referring to:

Electoral-Vote.com = Obama: 316 McCain: 209 Margin: Obama +107
FiveThirtyEight.com = Obama: 303 McCain: 235 Margin: Obama + 68
